Nothing appeals to me more than a night in with red wine, flat breads and a load of homemade dips. If you're a dip fiend like me then this is definitely one for your recipe keeper! This red pepper and walnut dip is one of my go-to dishes to impress.
Pretty simple to make and always a hit with guests! Fancy giving in a go?
So remember I told you to watch this space on my [ tie-dye curtains post ]? Yes? No? Well check out this little number
Oh yes, the tie-dye dress is here! As my first proper dress-making attempt I must say I am pleasantly surprised (shocked and amazed) at how well it has turned out. And it's ready just in time for the warm Spring that has kindly landed itself upon us. Here's how I did it :)
One of my favourite ever vintage finds! I found this 1960s wool cape at a vintage faire in Swansea (of all places) last summer. I got to test it out this winter but as there are a limited amount of clothes that it actually works with I haven't worn it as much as I'd have liked to. Ah well, I have a year to accumilate some more suitable accompaniments! Worn with it in the picture are a pair of 60s vintage shoes (etsy I think!) and a H&M dress :)

What I love about guacamole is that it's simple to make, super healthy, and totally vegan. Avocados are known as one of the healthiest foods in the world (and just so happen to be delicious!). To be completely honest I could happily just scoop that greeny goodness straight out with a spoon but I do sometimes get a guacamole craving that I simply must satisfy. So here's my recipe for the perfect guacamole - I promise it's the best you'll ever try! The avocados I used here were bought from Leicester food market -
seriously recommend it for all your ready-to-eat avocado needs! All your fruit and veg needs infact :)
2 x large ripe avocados
1 x small red onion
1 x large tomato or two small
fresh corriander - use around half the amount of a standard bag
juice of half a lime
chilli up! however much you like, I always use jalepinos
salt
Mash avocados, chop up the rest and mix together. I ate mine with toasted pitta but serve with whatever ya fancy :)
So here it is, my first Lookbook post in a couple of years! I'm rather excited about this piece of polka dot heaven I got from Topshop this week. I realise I don't have nearly enough of it in my wardrobe! I feel some polka dot creations a-brewin'! Oh, and don't worry guys, the skirt is faux leather, and the shoes are from Doc Marten's vegan range :)
