After Brighton I went to see my friends Jess and Tasha and also saw MORRISSEY on the Saturday night! That's a view of the o2 (where Morrissey played) from the apartment we stayed in in Canary Wharf

I had a wonderful time in Brighton last week. I was visiting my friend Luke who has moved to an
amazing new
apartment right on the beach front! A lot of photos coming up! They're a
mix of colour and black & white (mostly indoor ones are black &
white!). All of the artwork you can see in the apartment are all
painted by Luke :)

This
is a vegan supermarket chain which I've heard is opening here in
the UK sometime in the near future? I sure hope so! I can get my hands
on the BEST EVER vegan cheese I've tasted
Seriously,
I remember trying this stuff when I stayed with my dad in
Switzerland over Christmas and have been craving it ever since! It was
just as amazing as I remember it. I brought this back with me from Berlin and believe me it didn't last long, yum!

A few days ago my very talented friend
Alice gave me this gorgeous necklace as an early Christmas pressie - I was delighted as you can imagine! Alice designs and handcrafts jewelry and this necklace is part of a new collection she's begun producing - morse code jewelry. The idea is that each piece is fully personalised by containing a message of your choice and because it's in morse code it means that message is kept secret unless you decide to reveal it! Mine says my name, but you can get them with any word you like and the choice of it either as necklace, a ring, or earrings :)
If you're interested in ordering a piece visit her etsy shop
here, would make a lush Christmas pressie!

The easiest and quickest vegan cookie recipe you're likely to find! Oh did I mention they're bloody delicious? :) They're made with coconut oil giving them a slight coconut flavour - not too strong though for any non-coconut fans! It also makes them nice and moist while being slightly crunchy on the outside. All the best cookie elements!

Emily and I took a little trip to the hometown of His Majesty (a.k.a. Morrissey). It was my first time in Manchester and I must say I couldn't have asked for a better first impression!
As we stepped off the train our first thoughts, of course, were FOOD :) So after dropping our bags at hotel we were on our way to
Bistro 1847.

Bored of spag bol? Me too. So here's a twist on the classic that makes it oh so healthy and oh so animal friendly. The trickiest part of this dish is making the courgette spaghetti, the sauce is surprisingly simple! Read more for the recipe :)

Okay slightly belated post about my two-piece! I've been seeing so many of these around but the problem is, I hate having the same thing other people have. So I decided to make one myself, thus totally eliminating any chance of an outfit match :) Phew!

When my friend Taz kindly gave me one of her nan's old sarees to make something with, it took me a while to decide what to do with it. Because I'd never worked with silk I didn't want to risk making something complicated! So decided on cushion covers :) Take a look!

My apologies for the lack of posts, it's been a bit crazy lately! My last two weeks have
consisted of
in short - moving back to Wales for the summer, visitng my dad in Italy, visiting Bristol to see Brian Jonestown Massacre (absolutely incredible), starting my summer job at the museum, and last night seeing We Are Scientists (also amazing!).
Here are some of my phone snaps from the last two weeks. Look out for my proper Italy blog post :)

I'm back after spending a few days in Bath and finally got to visit the Acorn Vegetarian Kitchen (previously known as Demuths). This place is highly regarded amongst veggies and non-veggies alike (and rightly so!). I was not disappointed.

Belated post about my visit home last month.
We took a trip to the Chapter Arts Centre to check out
Richard Ayoade's new film The Double, which was pretty awesome! Highly
recommend. We decided to have food there before the movie and were
delighted to find a gigantic selection of vegan and veggie options! I
even saw a food award they had won for their vegan efforts. Bit of luck aye? We both went
for the peanut butter carrott wrap (£3!) it came with salad and
crispies too. You can see the rest of the menu on their website
